IWC took time out with children from the favelas

Between photo shoots in Rio de Janeiro intended for the Brazilian edition of Vogue Magazine, Adriana Lima, IWC ambassadress, took time out to meet young people from the region who were taking part in the project entitled "Fight for Peace" in a local boxing club.

"Fight for Peace" is a project run by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which associates boxing and the martial arts with education and personal development to help deprived young people express their full potential. Children and adolescents who take part in the training sessions come from extremely poor backgrounds. Many of them live in favelas where drug traffickers have been trying to gain control of the territory for years while armed adolescents patrol the streets.

Since 2005, IWC Schaffhausen has been a dedicated partner of Laureus Sport for Good, on an international scale. Aid to deprived children and adolescents is a cornerstone of the manufacturer’s corporate social responsibility.
