Competencies strengthened in supple materials

Continuing work to strengthen its teams which has been ongoing since 2013, the Laboratoire Dubois has announced the appointment of Isabelle Brun as head of department

Her role is to develop the physical and chemical testing of supple materials (leather, amongst others). She therefore becomes a key intermediary for all aspects of regulatory chemical analyses in this sector. With fifteen years’ experience, firstly as head of R&D and later as technical director with another industrial laboratory, Isabelle Brun trained as a chemical engineer, specialist subject leather, at ITECH (Textile and Chemical Institute) in Lyon.

In recent years, the Laboratoire Dubois has undergone an important process of strengthening its scientific and technical competencies. In May 2013, Jean-François Dionne, a metallurgical engineer from the University of Montreal, joined the materials team. In September of the same year, microtechnology engineer Yvan Terés joined the institution. Head of the Horology & Microtechnology department (often referred to as Chronofiable), he is a recognised specialist in shock-testing and magnetism. In June 2015, it was the turn of Thierry Zesiger, a doctor of chemistry specialising in gas chromatography and mass spectrometry, to add his expertise to the laboratory’s personnel.

With its scientific and technical skills reinforced in this way, the Laboratoire Dubois is able to respond to all requests from its clients, no matter how specialised they may be.
