Changes at the Management of the Swatch Group

Stephen Urquhart is taking the opportunity of his forthcoming 70th birthday to retire from his posts of President of Omega and member of the Extended Group Management Board of the Swatch Group.

He will remain closely associated with the Swatch Group and will be available for special projects and consultancy assignments. On 1 June 2016 he will be succeeded by Raynald Aeschlimann, Vice President at Omega since 2001 and a member of the Extended Group Management Board of the Swatch Group since 2013.

On the other hand, Hanspeter Rentsch, member of the Executive Group Management Board of the Swatch Group, is retiring from his post at the end of August 2016, as he has given nearly 40 years of excellent and loyal service. Appointed by the Swatch Group's Board of Directors, Hanspeter Rentsch will continue to represent the group on the Executive Committee of economiesuisse, as well as on the Executive Boards of the Swiss Employers' Association, the Swiss section of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH.

During the next Ordinary General Assembly of Shareholders, which will held on May 11, 2016, the Board of Directors recommends the election of Daniela Aeschlimann-Schneider as member of the Board of Directors. Daniela Aeschlimann-Schneider, Swiss citizen, holds a degree in Business Management, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Avesco Group since 2010 and Vice-President of the Board of Directors since 2013.
