High-profile presence on American greens

The official timekeeper of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America and its 2014 Championship is extending its partnership agreement until 2022. The Swiss watch manufacturer will officiate as official sponsor and official partner for another eight years from 2015. In 2011, Omega signed a marketing and sponsorship agreement with the PGA of America intended to run until 2016. The PGA of America is the largest sports organisation in the world with 28,000 men and women professionals. Golf sponsorship has been a crucial element of Omega’s promotional strategy for some years and the brand will be the official timekeeper at the 2016 Olympic Games, when this sport will make its return after an absence of more than a century.

In addition, Omega has just produced a new TV ad featuring its ambassador Rory McIlroy striking the ball. The soundtrack picks up the song «Hall of Fame» written and recorded by The Script.
