Vacheron Constantin has invited the photographer Steve McCurry to share his unique perspective on the world to illustrate the new Overseas collection, the horological embodiment of its «spirit of travel».
Together, they have chosen to roam the world in twelve locations, little-known and sometimes inaccessible sites captured by the lens of the photographer, that chime with the fundamental values of the brand.
The maison unveils the first location of the Overseas Tour: the railway station Grand Central Terminal, New York. One of the world’s largest railway stations, this architectural gem is set in the heart of the most dynamic city in the Western world. Each day, millions of travellers pass through it in an uninterrupted choreography. This is where the heart of Manhattan pulses almost round the clock.
For Vacheron Constantin Steve McCurry’s team was able to re-discover this mythical location in the middle of the night with only a few discrete travellers. A true privilege!
