Officine Panerai «dives into time»

From 18 to 21 May, Officine Panerai presented an exhibition, «Panerai - Dive into Time», at the Marino Marini museum in Florence. This retrospective invited visitors to plunge into the past, present and future of the Italian brand.

At the heart of the crypt of the former church of San Pancrazio, a unique collection of creations was presented that defined the rich history of the Florentine brand. It cast a fascinating light on the fields of optics and mechanics, including the first instruments designed by the Panerai family at the turn of the last century, emblematic timepieces designed for the Italian Royal Navy from the 1930s to the 1950s, and an overview of models produced since the brand was acquired by the Richemont group nearly twenty years ago.

For Panerai aficionados, the highlight of the event was the vast selection of new pieces presented. Twelve models demonstrated the many ways in which the brand reinvents its own history and constantly renews itself from a technical and functional point of view, while at the same time remaining faithful to its strong identity.
