In partnership with the American Alpine Club (AAC), the Genevan brand awarded the inaugural Alpina AAC Cutting Edge Award last May.
American sportsmen Kyle Dempster and Hayden Kennedy were honoured for their efforts, having established two new routes in the Karakoram mountain range in Pakistan, on the northern face of K7 and the southern face of Ogre I. Each year the award will be presented to a team of American mountaineers - chosen from those supported by the AAC - who have achieved ambitious climbing objectives.
In the presence of Guido Benedini, CEO of the watch brand, the two mountaineers were presented with an Alpina Horological Smartwatch, which benefits from its own technological platform. This revolutionary sports watch provides athletes with precious data concerning their physical condition, activities and sleep cycles.
