The European Artistic Crafts Days

These red-letter days enable the public to enjoy a backstage look at age-old skills through open-door events held by independent craft masters, cultural institutions and museums, as well as training centres. They will be held in Western Switzerland during the month of April.

In Geneva, these days will take place from 15^th to 17^th April. In its en l'Ile boutique, Vacheron Constantin will showcase the exhibition «Arts & Crafts & Design. Time according to Alessandro Mendini and his artisans» which, inspired by the theme of Time, illustrates the dialogue of a great designer and artist with 13 artisans, and features crafts that are a natural part of contemporary design. In the same boutique and for the second year running, the brand invites the general public to follow the itinerary of its passion in its historical site and offers visitors a chance to view demonstrations provided by its artisans. Masters of guilloché, enamelling and watchmaking will express their skills during these three days, showcasing a singular experience in which individuals are confronted with the infinitely small in a fascinating tête à tête. Each of their deft movements is imbued with a wealth of history and tradition. Thanks to the exhibition the «Elegance in motion» featuring a remarkable selection of timepieces from the Vacheron Constantin Heritage collection, visitors will enjoy an opportunity to see how the evolution in the ways and means of travelling has influenced the watchmaking history of the Manufacture for 260 years.

The European Artistic Crafts Days in Switzerland will also take place in Canton of Vaud (April 15^th to 17^th), Jura (23^rd and 24^th April) and, for the first time, in the canton of Neuchâtel (April 22^nd to 24^th). Details of the programme and inscriptions:
