Tissot strengthens its ties with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in its role as official timekeeper.
From the 2016-2017 season, the Le Locle brand will equip each of the league’s 29 courts with a new high-precision timekeeping system.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver and François Thiébaud, CEO of the watch manufacturer, presented Tissot’s new NBA collection, consisting of six watches boasting a classic and contemporary sporty style.
In addition, Tissot is extending this partnership with five NBA teams: the Chicago Bulls, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat, the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. Each of the above will be launching its own watch line, featuring a special edition Quickster model displaying the team’s colours and logo on the caseback. The collection will go on sale at the end of the year and will be available in-store and from the watchmaker’s online boutique.
