Partnership with the Tour Auto Optic 2000

Created by the Automobile Club of France in 1899, the Tour de France Automobile is one of the oldest car races in the world.

Given a new lease of life in 1992, this event will be held for the 24th time from 21 to 25 April 2015 with the support of Zenith and will bring together 225 historic cars, including the model which raced in the Tour Auto between 1951 and 1973. Drivers from different nations will set off from Paris and finish in Biarritz, covering around 2,000 kilometres of French roads.

The route of the forthcoming event will focus essentially on the centre and west of the country. After being exhibited to the public at the Grand Palais, the venue of early Motor Shows from 1901 to 1961, the cars will take to the roads of France to compete in timed stages on circuits and closed roads. They will complete their tour four days later on the Basque coast, in Biarritz.
