At the end of August, Bumotec began construction of its new factory situated in the commune of Vuadens, in Gruyère. The firm, which specialises in the production of high-precision, multi-function machine tools, has clients in the watchmaking, medical and micro-engineering sectors.
The new entity, covering an area more than twice the size of a football pitch, will meet the environmental and energy-efficiency criteria of the Starrag Group to which it belongs. Renewable energy will be used to heat the plant, while its roof will be covered with large solar panels.
