New booth at Art Basel

On its new stand, designed by artist Sebastian Errazuriz, Audemars Piguet unveiled a new series of photographic works by Dan Holdsworth called Continuous Topography at Art Basel in Basel (16 - 19 June 2016) in the Collectors Lounge.

Continuous Topography explores the unique geological formations found in Audemars Piguet’s home, the Vallée de Joux. The referencing of the epic timescales by which these geological formations were shaped allows Holdsworth to invite the viewers to reimagine their relationship with time.

This year, Audemars Piguet also announced Chilean born, New York based artist Sebastian Errazuriz as the designer of their new stand at the 2016 Art Basel. Errazuriz’s design was unveiled at Art Basel in Hong Kong 2016 and is based on the theme of «Water and Ice.» Taking inspiration from the ice formations and the beautiful snowed winters in the Vallée de Joux, the lounge highlights the concept of an «Ice Cycle» as a metaphor of time.

Errazuriz was also the first curator of the new Audemars Piguet Experience Instagram account @AudemarsPiguetExperience from 11 - 17 June 2016. To coincide with Art Basel in Basel 2016, Errazuriz shares breath-taking images, exclusive content and behind the scene pictures that offer an artistic window into his world. Highlights include images of Errazuriz preparing the stand and fine details of his design.
