The Acrotec Group acquires PreciPro

Following the recent takeover of Petitpierre SA in Cortaillod, the Acrotec Group has acquired the firm PreciPro SA, a specialist in the field of precious metals and the manufacture of jewellery, as well as external parts and movement components for prestige watches.

The activity of the company, currently based in Le Locle (Canton of Neuchâtel), will soon be transferred to new premises in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Xavier Caron, the director of PreciPro, becomes a member of the executive committee of the Acrotec Group.

The company has developed its activities in polishing, gem-setting (all types), rhodium-plating, micro-blasting, soldering (kiln, blowtorch, laser), smelting, etc. The firm was created in 2006 by Xavier Caron, a former methods manager at Cartier Jewellery, where he was responsible for the development of jewellery production subcontracted to external suppliers. PreciPro employs around twenty people.

Recent acquisitions by the Acrotec Group - DJC in Haute-Savoie, mu-Dec in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Petitpierre SA in Cortaillod - are part of a policy of industrial integration of various activities related to micromechanics in general. The former owners of acquired companies become minority shareholders in the group and continue to manage the activities of the acquired firm. Continuity of industrial vision is therefore guaranteed, with the added benefit of being able to count on commercial synergies and the expertise of other group companies.
