Petitpierre SA joins the fold of the Acrotec Group

The company Petitpierre SA has joined the Acrotec Group, one of the leading producers of components for the Swiss watch industry.

Petitpierre SA designs and manufactures complex assembly machines and tooling for major watchmaking clients. With a wealth of experience behind him, Boris Petitpierre manages a team of around forty people in Cortaillod (Canton of Neuchâtel). Mr Petitpierre becomes a member of the executive committee of the Acrotec Group. No change of activity is planned.

Since 1973, Petitpierre SA has adapted its production tools to the requirements of the microtechnology industry. Established by Freddy Petitpierre and specialising in metrology, the company very quickly expanded its client base and sectors of activity. Today it excels in the development and production of watchmaking, production and after-sales service tools, as well as the assembly and control of microtechnical components. The company has become one of the flagships of the Swiss microtechnical industry, particularly in the highly prized field of watchmaking. The key to more than thirty years of successful activity and continued growth lies in a policy based on quality, durability and reliability.

Acrotec is an independent group created by professionals in the fields of watchmaking and microengineering. Its main aim is to provide all watchmaking manufactures and brands with high-quality Swiss-made products. Acrotec has around 600 employees. Its strategic objective is to simplify the complexity of subcontracting by providing its clients with a wide range of watchmaking and industrial skills: profile-turning, gem-setting, surface treatment, etc. The group’s companies have the skills to design and produce finished parts for watch movements (springs, shock-absorber systems, oscillating weights, etc.) and components for medical and other equipment. Acrotec also produces components for connector technology, telecommunications, information technology and mobile telephony, the automotive industry, injection systems, micromotors, aeronautics and the aerospace sector.
