Chopard has been present on the 2016 Mille Miglia

Since 1988, Chopard has been the official timekeeper of the Mille Miglia, the famous Italian motor race. Continuing the tradition of the original races, it is exclusively reserved for vintage vehicles built between 1927 and 1957.

From 19 to 22 May, the 34th edition of the competition saw 450 teams pitted against each other, representing 40 nations. Starting in Brescia, they punctuated their 1600 km adventure with stages in Verona, Rimini, San Marino, Rome, Siena, Florence and Parma before returning to Brescia.

A vintage car enthusiast, Chopard’s co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele joined the former racing driver Jacky Ickx in the event, driving a Porsche 550 Spyder RS. The brand also unveiled its series of timepieces produced in honour of the race. The Mille Miglia 2016 XL Race Edition watch collection is therefore bound to delight vintage car enthusiasts.
