Longines supports the Future Ski Champions

In its capacity as official timekeeper of the International Ski Federation (FIS), the Saint-Imier firm presented the third edition of the Longines Future Ski Champions.

Last March, this competition was held for the first time in the resort of Saint-Moritz, in parallel with the FIS World Cup finals.

The world’s best male skiers competed under conditions identical to those on the professional circuit. Young athletes taking part represented Germany, Austria, Canada, South Korea, Croatia, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States. The Austrian Joshua Sturm won first place on the podium, ahead of American Benjamin Ritchie and Frenchman Augustin Bianchini. Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice-president and International Marketing Director of Longines, and Mikaela Shiffrin, brand ambassador and host of this 2016 edition, were in attendance to cheer on participants.
