Zenith official timekeeper of the 2016 WinterRaid

The Le Locle firm reaffirms its attachment to the world of classic cars.

At the WinterRaid 2016, held from 13 to 16 January, Zenith was the official timekeeper of the winter motor sport competition.

Fifty teams lined up at the start in Saint-Moritz to negotiate a route punctuated by impressive Alpine passes and landscapes. In their adventure through the Swiss and Italian mountains, participants were able to make a stopover at Bormio and Cortina d’Ampezzo, before completing the race with a return to the Graubünden ski resort.

A contest organised by Zenith showcased the El Primero watch. Selected from teams taking part in the race, six co-drivers wore the chronograph on their wrist, taking turns during the four days of the competition. They were able to test the accuracy and performance of this timepiece. The winner of this contest, co-driver Caroline Mislin Rudin in car number 4, was presented with an EL Primero Chronomaster 1969 model on 16 January.
