The Le Locle manufacturer becomes the first official timekeeper of the NBA, the Women’s National Basketball Association and the NBA Development League.
This new agreement which runs over several years adds to the brand’s portfolio of sports partnerships at an international level and is the first collaboration of its kind with a major American sports league.
In collaboration with the NBA, Tissot will develop an integrated timekeeping system at the cutting edge of technology. Built-in all «shot clocks», this new high-precision system will be installed in all 29 league courts from the 2016/2017 season.
The new alliance will come into effect from October this year. Through to January 2016, six NBA teams will play seven regular and preseason matches in six countries as part of the NBA Global Games 2015/2016.
