The fourth and penultimate regatta of the TP 52 Super Series competition season, the 34th Copa del Rey Mapfre, was held on 4 to 8 August last in the Bay of Palma in Majorca.
As the official timekeeper, Zenith closely followed this outstanding sailing championship. The twelve teams from seven different nations reflected the international dimension of this event. They rivalled in bold tactics and skilful manoeuvring in their endeavour to put their hands on the hotly contested trophy.
This 2015 edition was won for the third year in a row by the yacht Quantum Racing (USA). The Real Club Nautico de Palma which organises the event has close ties with the Spanish Royal family, especially with Juan Carlos, a club skipper. The next and final leg of this great competition will be held in Portugal on 16 to 20 September next. .
