Rado official timekeeper of the 2015 Istanbul Open

The first ever Istanbul Open was played on the clay courts of the Garanti Koza Arena. Delighted to be a partner of the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open right from the start, Rado was the official timekeeper at this new event in the ATP World Tour which took place from 27 April to 3 May 2015.

The TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open is the first ATP World Tour event to be held in Turkey. In its capacity as official timekeeper, Rado was present with corner clocks in the shape of the Rado HyperChrome. At the Rado Smash Corner, the brand offered its visitors the chance to record the speed of their own service and compare it to that of the game’s great players.

The TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open was played on clay courts, regarded as a demanding surface by some players and as a welcome change of pace by others. Consequently, Rado chose the tennis-inspired Rado HyperChrome Court Collection as the tournament’s official collection, and more specifically models featuring bold orange accents on the dial.

Involved in the world of tennis for several decades, Rado also announced its new YoungStars programme. This initiative aims to support promising youngsters, with a view to creating an international team of talented and ambitious players that will represent the next generation of tennis stars. Karen Khachanov, Saisai Zheng, Jared Donaldson and Hyeon Chung are the first to join the YoungStars team.
