Stades de Bienne will be called the Tissot Arena

The Stades de Bienne sports complex will in future be called the Tissot Arena.

The Le Locle brand, the city of Bienne and the two flagship clubs of the Seeland city, HC Bienne and FC Bienne, signed a partnership agreement at the beginning of February. The latter will run for a period of ten years with the possible option to renew.

The input of the Swatch Group, through its Tissot brand, will see the stadium infrastructure equipped with the very latest display technologies and will also provide support for both clubs. The name Tissot Arena will feature proudly on the building, which is expected to be inaugurated this coming June. The brand will also benefit from high-visibility advertising during matches and through both clubs’ marketing activities (shirts, accessories, etc).

For Tissot, this partnership confirms its commitment to the world of sport where the brand already officiates as official timekeeper at many world championships, such as ice-hockey, cycling, basketball and MotoGPTM. Since Bienne is also home to the group’s headquarters, this new alliance acquires an even greater significance.
