On 5 January 2015, the brand based in Longeau announced the launch of the new Rado Star Prize Switzerland for Young Talents competition, applications for which can now be submitted by budding designers on www.designpreis.ch. As partner and initiator of this competition, Rado helps young talents and extends its longstanding partnership with the Swiss Design Awards, created in 1991.
The latter institution is well known today and showcases the economic role of design, as well as its social and cultural impact. Awards are distributed in twelve categories, details of which can be found on the aforementioned website. Products or projects based on original designs, either still on the drawing board or at the manufacturing stage, will be singled out for distinction.
