The Breitling Jet Team prepares to conquer the US

The Jet Team is not only the largest professional civilian team performing on jets, but also the perfect ambassador for the Breitling spirit.

This exceptional formation combining precision, speed and audacity, consisting of seven L-39C Albatros aircraft flying at nearly 700 kph, has already performed in 36 countries around the world and in 2015 will embark on its first tour of the United States.

In 2014, the Breitling Jet Team completed a major European tour. The programme was marked by many highlights - the first appearance at the ILA Berlin Air Show (a rare privilege for a civilian team), a flight with the Italian national display team of the Frecce Tricolori, and another flight, in formation, with the British Red Arrows (coinciding with their fiftieth anniversary). In 2012, the Breitling Jet Team covered more than 4,000 kilometres during a tour of Asia. The detailed programme of the American tour in 2015 was announced at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS), held in Las Vegas (Nevada) on 9 December 2014.

For information, the Breitling brand, founded in 1884, became a key player in the world of aviation thanks to its on-board chronographs which equipped the turboprop fighters of the Second World War, and also in 1952 with the appearance of the Navitimer, a wrist-chronograph featuring a circular slide rule allowing aerial navigation calculations to be carried out. Manufactured without interruption for more than 60 years - making it the doyen of all mechanical chronographs in production worldwide - it became a cult object for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. The brand also developed a wide range of innovative instruments intended essentially for aviators, including the Emergency, the first wristwatch in the world to be equipped with an authentic built-in dual-frequency personal locator beacon.
