News At the end of November, Gucci announced that Michele Sofisti, the company’s Timepieces and Jewelry Chief Executive Officer, will leave the company to pursue other personal and professional opportunities.
Michele Sofisti has served the brand in this position since 2009, playing an instrumental role in developing both watch and jewelry businesses that now have an increasingly important significance and impact on the brand’s total revenues. During Sofisti’s tenure both categories have been successfully repositioned, with new rationalized collections and an expanded selective distribution network across all strategically important markets.
Sofisti’s successor will be announced in the near future, meanwhile Patrizio di Marco, Gucci President and CEO, will serve as the company’s acting CEO.
