New partnership with the Argentine Polo Open

The shared history between Jaeger-LeCoultre and polo dates back to 1931 with the first appearance of the legendary Reverso.

Over time it has grown stronger, and for more than ten years the brand has associated its name with players such as Eduardo Novillo Astrada and supported them and their teams by organising charity dinners and fundraising days based on this national sport in Argentina.

This year, Jaeger-LeCoultre strengthened its position further by becoming the official sponsor and timekeeper of the 121th Argentine Polo Open of Palermo, a district of Buenos Aires nicknamed «the cathedral of polo» which has given its name to the prestigious tournament. The competition was held over a period of three weeks, with the eight best teams in the world vying for ascendency from 15 November to 6 December. The meeting, in a stadium capable of holding up to 16,000 spectators, is one of the most eagerly anticipated of the season and, with the Open Championship of the Tortugas Country Club and the Hurlingham Open, forms the Triple Crown, reserved for teams with a handicap of between 28 and 40 goals.
